The church or temple called Madonna delle Cataste (or Madonna della Catasta) is located in Ponzano di Fermo. It is an interesting place to visit to take some very particular suggestive photos or “drone” from above in the rural land. It was discovered by the general public recently thanks to social media when, following cleaning work and cutting down trees grown inside, it came back to life.

🏛️ The Madonna delle Cataste is a lovely circular temple located in the countryside of Ponzano di Fermo, in the Marche. Built in the 1920s as an ex voto following alleged apparitions of the Madonna to local farmers, the temple has an octagonal structure with eight arches. Unfortunately, a fire that occurred in the first half of the 1900s destroyed the roof, leaving the structure in ruins.
